APC Suspends Enuha, LGA Caretaker Committee Chairman for Anti-party Activities

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has suspended a chieftain of the party, Chief Engr. Hyacinth Enuha along with the Aniocha South Caretaker Committee Chairman, Mr. John Ekwuyasi, for what it described as ‘clandestine’ anti-party activities.
The resolution to suspend the APC stalwarts was conveyed in letter forwarded to them by an 18-man Ward Caretaker Committee, which met on Tuesday at the APC Ward 3 Secretariat, in Ogwashi-Uku, headquarters of Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State.
According to the Ward 3 Caretaker Committee Chairman, Mr . Ashinze Dumebi, “the suspension was unanimously endorsed by the Ward Caretaker Committee members in a meeting held on 5 January 2021 at chairman residence , with two third majority of executives.”
The Ward Chairman explained that the suspension became inevitable “due to clandestine anti party activities and conducts capable of throwing the party into disrepute.”
Mainstreamreports gathered from political sources in APC Aniocha South that the suspension is not unconnected to lingering party crises in the LGA that had culminated in the polarisation of the APC along irreconcilable tendencies.
Sources fingered Chief Enuha, popularly called “Onowu” within Delta APC as mastermind of the nagging crises in the Wards and LGA, which had witnessed the existence of parallel executives and the recent emergence of dual APC Chairmanship candidates across the Delta North Senatorial District.
According to party sources, when the leadership of the APC reached a resolution as directed by the Buni-led National Caretaker Committee to streamline Delta APC under the Court endorsed Consent List Executive structure, Chief Enuha transformed his tendency in Aniocha South LGA under an umbrella he christened, “Onowu Vanguard”; thus spearheading another phase of acrimony in APC Aniocha South.
