Aniocha South APC Upholds Enuha, Ekwuyasi’s suspension as police arrests, detain LGA Caretaker Committee Secretary, Ward Chairman
By Our Reporter
The All Progressives Congress (APC), Aniocha South chapter has ratified the suspension of Chief Hyacinth Enuha, a chieftain of the party and the LGA Caretaker Committee Chairman, Mr John Ekwuyasi over clandestine anti-party activities.
Rising from an emergency meeting presided over by the Vice Chairman, Mr Fidelis Nwadugbo, the party leadership was particularly miffed that the duo have not shown any remorse and had taken deliberate provocative actions to undermine the party in the LGA.
Mainstreamreports gathered that shortly after the suspension of the party chieftains on Tuesday, 5th January, 2021, Chief Enuha petitioned the Police in Ogwashi-Uku, alleging threat to his life by the Ward 3 Chairman, who had since been arrested, detained and charged to court and presently under custody at the Ogwashi-Uku prison.
Curiously, our reporter learnt that the LGA Caretaker Committee Secretary, Mr Asikawili had also been arrested and detained but was left off the hook of Enuha’s petition as the police could not finda nexus to pin him to Enuha’s ‘threat to life’ alarm.
Meanwhile, the LGA Caretaker Committee in its resolution, Thursday upheld the indefinite suspension slammed on Enuha and Ekwuyasi by the Ward 3 Caretaker Committee, pending the outcome of the fact-finding/ disciplinary committee set up to look into the matter.
